On January 25th, Joanna Radford, Eugene Brown, and Davie Simpson went to Raleigh to present the findings of the two year study that was done through a grant from the NC Pesticide Environmental Trust Fund.

The committee reviewing the grant received the final report and the last of the grant money will be sent to SCBA. This final payment of $2,000 will allow SCBA to add some much needed equipment to the bee yard. To keep the bee yard self-sustaining financially, SCBA is hoping to rear and sell Carolina queens and bees. The additional payment will help buy some queen rearing equipment and also much needed equipment like supers to give the bees room to grow.
