The Surry County Beekeepers meet in person on the 2nd Monday of the month at least 10 months of the year. We have 2 Saturday field days – spring and fall – hosted at our bee yard in Dobson. When we can, we get together for a picnic in the summer and for dinner at a local restaurant in December for Christmas. You can also see us at local events and talking about honeybees in the area schools.
Regular meetings start at 7:00 pm at the Surry Cooperative Extension Office
915 E. Atkins Street, Suite 300, Dobson, NC 27017 [ map ]
During Covid shutdown when the club couldn’t meet in person the club started to meet monthly online using Zoom and members are stayed active on Facebook. Some of the meetings were recorded and available to anyone and you can view previous meetings here:
In addition to meeting online during Covid our officers provided new “How To” videos to keep members in the loop and learning about bees.
