All Meetings and Training are being conducted online via Zoom
Special Covid-19 Update: The Surry County Beekeepers are currently unable to meet in person due to the Covid-19 restrictions in place. But the club has started to meet monthly online using Zoom and members are still active on Facebook. The meetings are recorded and available to anyone and you can view previous meetings here:
In addition to meeting online since October 2020, our officers are providing new “How To” videos to keep our members in the loop and learning about bees.
- December 2020 Meeting: Building Your Own Equipment
- Mite Check
- Cutouts: Take Two!
- In the Beeyard: Second Inspection
- Cutouts 101
Under normal circumstances, the Surry County Beekeepers meet in person on the 2nd Monday of the month at least 10 months of the year. Online meetings are being held on the 2nd Monday of each month. We have 2 Saturday field days – spring and fall – and if all goes well, we’ll be hosting them at our club bee yard starting this spring. When we can, we get together for a picnic in the summer and for dinner at a local restaurant in December for Christmas. You can also see us at local events and talking about honeybees in the area schools.
Regular meetings [when held] start at 7:00 pm at the Surry Cooperative Extension Office
915 E. Atkins Street, Suite 300, Dobson, NC 27017 [ map ]
