Surry Beekeepers have committed to match all donations from our SCBA members and new beekeepers up to $1000 as part of the NCSBA challenge underway to help establish an endowed professorship in Apiculture at NCSU.

The new Apiculture field laboratory and an endowed professorship will represent the commitment by the State of North Carolina, NC State University and the beekeeping community of North Carolina to have a first class honey bee research program. And SCBA and NCSBA is leading the way to make that happen!

SCBA is asking members and friends of SCBA to donate at least $10 toward the effort to create the endowed professorship. This challenge will go until spring NCSBA conference in early March 2023.

To donate, please bring cash or check to any meeting or bee school class or send a check made payable to Surry County Beekeepers Association and mail to:
